Investment model

The fund’s investment model offers significant advantages over traditional solar energy generation, where 100% of sales are made to the national grid operator company at a “wholesale” value, approximately 30-40% of the final consumer price, and with no waiting time for connection to the national grid (currently up to five years) by utilizing local connections (medium and low voltage rather than high voltage). More importantly, Energy Communities operate with a highly competitive cost structure compared to large electricity distribution companies that compete with the end customer, namely: The connection by network is only local, which allows this type of business model to save on long-haul transmission tariffs (high voltage) which typically account for 50% of the final consumer price.
